Body Work
Body work is a therapeutic practice that involves hands-on manipulation of the body's soft tissues, including muscles, connective tissues, tendons, and ligaments.
It aims to improve health and well-being by enhancing circulation, relieving tension, reducing stress, increasing relaxation, and aiding in the general recovery of muscular health.
Techniques can vary widely, ranging from gentle stroking and kneading of muscles to more targeted deep tissue pressure to address chronic pain and muscle knots.

Pain is a Warning!
The Vicious Cycle of Pain
Unchecked pain can lead to a downward spiral, resulting in loss of mobility, weight gain, anxiety, and even depression. At Refreshed, we recognize that pain can be a complex interplay of physiological factors, emotional triggers, and chemical reactions from daily diet and environmental factors.
Understanding and Managing Pain at Refreshed Body Mind
Pain is unique to each individual, shaped by personal proprioception and tolerance levels. It serves as a vital warning signal—our body's way of demanding attention and prompting us to seek change.
A Multifaceted Approach to Pain
We understand that pain requires tailored approaches. Pain can be advantageous if we learn to understand it instead of avoiding or numbing it. Most clients experience a 60% reduction in pain after just one medical massage session. Schedule your session in Downtown Historical Barnesville or opt for a mobile session to have Refreshed come to you.

Corrective Exercise Program
As a corrective exercise specialist, I analyze your movements to derive insightful information from your movement patterns. Corrective exercise aims not to burn fat or tone muscle but to restore functional capacity and eradicate discomfort in any movement pattern, allowing your body to eventually train with the intensity necessary to achieve your fitness goals.
Understanding Corrective Exercise:
Corrective exercises address issues by understanding how the body works. The body is composed of six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus, forming cells, tissues, organs, and systems. The nervous system plays a crucial role, acting as the information superhighway between the brain and the rest of the body through the spinal cord and nerves. This system is vital for both voluntary and involuntary actions, sensory input, muscle control, and mental activity.
