I love to cook. To me it's not only an artistic expression, but also one of the HEART.
My kids tell me all the time..."Mom, why does your food always taste sooo Good"! And, my response is always the same "LOVE".
The love I put into creating a meal for the people I care the most about has always made my food the most tasty.
Mexicans have funny saying, yet if you think about is Really true.
Everyone knows that in a Mexican home the spiciness of a salsa speaks more than words. The spicier the salsa the better.
But, if you've ever made a spicy salsa soo spicy that people can barely eat it, someone will always say: "You must have been really pissed!" Haha.
Yup the spicier the salsa, the more feelings went into it.
Well, I'm not 100% sure that's accurate, but the way we feel when cooking most definitely affects not only the outcome of the food, but it's vibrational energy.
My point is, if you put in your time, your effort, and your love when cooking for someone special in your life, don't forget to do the same for yourself.
Especially when you are on a nutritional journey. It can be so easy to get stuck in a rut of meal planning, and dieting that we forget that the "secret ingredient" not only brings flavor to a tasty meal but it brings balance to our bodies.
It's not easy to make lifestyle changes and even harder when it comes to nutritional changes ( more on that later); but whatever it is you're going through in any stage of life, don't forget that "Secret Ingredient".
Love your body, love your mind, love your soul. Be kind to yourself. And when you have another meal prep coming up, be present in your prepping and add some Love for your Self!
